In the Sancroft Benefice, Fressingfield MU has 35 members from around the villages. Mothers’ Union is an international organisation with over 4 million members in 81 countries.
We meet monthly in the Sancroft Hall, Fressingfield on the first Thursday in the month.
When we arrive there is always a buzz in the hall – items brought for the bring and buy, top table laid out with papers, hymn books on seats and a warm welcome for the speaker.
Members are kept busy in between meetings with services such as Lady Day, Wave of prayer and Healing when we meet up with other branches.
Our members knit woolly hats for Seafarers, hats for premature babies, make cot covers, drip bags and other items as requested by the hospital as well as tapestry crosses for the chaplains to give out as needed. Fund raising events are held from time to time – this summer we raised £300 for third world projects.
We would love you to join us and you will find further information in the Lady Chapel.
